Everyone, meet Ryan June. Born on May 12th at 3:10pm, she was welcomed into the world weighing 6 pounds 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. She was a dream during her lifestyle newborn photography session. And this family's home, holy moly, I was in heaven! One lucky duck I am.

She is deeply loved by her older sister, Lila. Together they have so many adventures in store. I can't wait to be a part of them. xo

Your Baby Nursery, Your Story | Fort Collins Photography Websites

Recently, I shared a few of my favorite things about lifestyle photography sessions photographed in your home. Each and everyone of those things still holds so true to my heart. When you book a lifestyle newborn, baby, or in-home family session, you are not only trusting me to document your family, but are trusting me to come into your home. To me, that's huge! I won't lie, there is never a time I don't ring a doorbell without nerves shooting through my bones. But that just how I am. But, as soon as I see you and your family, all that goes away. I've been welcomed into so many beautiful homes. Each one is so unique, full of character, and full of that family's love. I feel it every single time.

Many families question if photographing their session in their home is the best option. My opinion? Yes. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely dote over those grassy fields with stunning sunlight. And those locations are perfect for family photography session. However, when it comes to newborn, baby, or a 'day in the life' family sessions, I have no words. Many mama's dislike the colors of their walls, wonder about the style of their home, how their comforter isn't their favorite, or that they just don't have the energy to clean.

Let me tell you something...

When you look at your photos of the beautiful little family you helped create, you will not be thinking about the color of your walls, the style of your home, how that comforter isn't your favorite, and you will not remember if your home was clean or if a tornado just struck the night before.

I promise. You'll be thinking about how your family is perfect the way they are, how happy you are that these photos are your's forever, and how full of love your heart is.

My goal for every session is to create a story. A flow of your images that brings back that special feeling of that particular magical time in your life. From this day on, I am promising to photograph not only your family, but your home, and the feeling you get from being within those walls.

Kya | Newborn Photographers Fort Collins

"A wee bit of heaven drifted down from above- a handful of happiness, a heart full of love. The mystery of life, so sacred and sweet- The giver of joy so deep and complete. Precious and priceless, so lovable, too- the world's sweetest miracle, baby, is you." Meeting this sweet little peanut gave my stomach butterflies. Or maybe it was the way I was welcomed into this family's home that gave me the butterflies. I arrived for their newborn session ready to meet a gorgeous baby girl. What I walked into was a home full of pride and joy. The moment I placed my stuff at the doorway I got the opportunity to snuggle her. Huge smile's on her parent's faces. My heart exploded and my smile was so big it made my cheeks hurt. I love this family, and I am so very very happy for them.

World, meet Kya Jane. Born at 1:44 am on April 23rd, 2016. She weighed 7 lbs 0.9 oz and was 19 inches long. Life just got so much sweeter, lovelier, and happier.

Imogen + Xavier | Boulder Baby Photographers

After this family's gorgeous maternity photography session, I anxiously awaited the day I would be able to meet these two little ones. TWINS! Their lifestyle newborn session had me dancing on my tip toes! I walked through the doors of their beautiful Boulder home to meet a very happy big sister! She was all grins, ready to share all about her new babies (she's going to be the best big sister ever!). Meet Imogen and Xavier, born on February 24th, 2016.  Sweet baby girl, Imogen was born at 12:30pm. Baby boy, Xavier quickly followed, born at 12:33pm. Maternity sessions usually take place at the beginning of the third trimester, between weeks 30-34 of pregnancy. Your session will be about you and that perfect baby bump. This newborn photography session, oh dear, I could jump up and down with excitement Actually, I already have many times ;). I absolutely loved this baby session, loved getting to know this wonderful couple, and loved getting to meet their little man. World, welcome Alden Darrow. Born on February 16th, 2016 weighing 7lbs 10oz and 20in long, he's got it all. He is perfect. I traveled to this beautiful Boulder home and was welcomed with open arms. One of the many perks of being a Colorado newborn photographer is being able to travel to your home to photograph your session. Something about walking through those doors to eyes sparkling (even with lack of sleep), smiles huge, and your little addition in your arms, it's magical. And it get's my heart every time. I just might cry, so grab the tissues before I arrive.
