I sat at Spruce Confections on Pearl Street chugging my morning coffee, waiting anxiously for my upcoming session. My heart always races before a session. It's like a crazy mixture of nerves and excitement. But coffee helps. I've found old school rap to do the same, but I won't get into that ;) And I promise you, I was not blasting Nelly along the streets of Boulder. But as soon as I meet my family, all the nerves go out the window and my heart spikes with excitement.

Like right when I saw this adorable family of three come around the corner. My smile had to have stretched across my entire face. They are the cutest, nicest couple with the loveliest little girl. Eva Caroline, you are a gem. Her favorite stuffies tagged along, and definitely made for some giggles.

Together we strolled the streets of Boulder and then made our way to a nearby park. It was like a hidden treasure I had never been to before. I love when family's share with me their favorite locations, it's like Christmas everyday.

Colorado is beautiful. They are beautiful. It's a beautiful thing this life.Thank you, Patterson Family! Can't wait to see you again. xo

Maternity sessions usually take place at the beginning of the third trimester, between weeks 30-34 of pregnancy. Your session will be about you and that perfect baby bump. Sober Photography photographs using natural poses, I have gone through numerous newborn training for posing, and always put the safety of your newborn first. This newborn photography session, oh dear, I could jump up and down with excitement Actually, I already have many times ;). I absolutely loved this baby session, loved getting to know this wonderful couple, and loved getting to meet their little man. World, welcome Alden Darrow. Born on February 16th, 2016 weighing 7lbs 10oz and 20in long, he's got it all. He is perfect. I traveled to this beautiful Boulder home and was welcomed with open arms. One of the many perks of being a Colorado newborn photographer is being able to travel to your home to photograph your session. Something about walking through those doors to eyes sparkling (even with lack of sleep), smiles huge, and your little addition in your arms, it's magical. And it get's my heart every time. I just might cry, so grab the tissues before I arrive.

Little Blonde Curls & Candy Canes

I love photographing this bundle of cousins! There is never a dull moment when it comes to sessions with these adorable little blondies. They each have a personality of their own, each so hilarious. Their adorable little outfits, those bouncing curls, and sweet candy cane smiles... could they be any cuter?! I don't think so :) Such beautiful girls. And I love this family! A Special Place in my Heart | Family Photos

I was thrilled when I was asked to photograph this family.  They are so sweet, have the largest hearts, and the most beautiful family. These little handsome guys couldn't be more proud of the newest addition to their family. They were wonderful with their little sister! She was covered in hugs and kisses throughout the whole session. And you can see the love she has for her two older brothers through those gorgeous big brown eyes and sweet contagious smile. As for mom and dad, their love for their kids is undeniable, as you can see. I absolutely love this session! This family holds a special place in my heart. I know together, we know the importance a photograph can hold. Your little angel is looking down from heaven smiling.
