This is home. I'm not sure what it was about this lifestyle photography session, but I fell so deeply in love with this family. Maybe it was simply this furry man that reminded me of my own Golden Retriever. Or maybe that I dream of him with my own three (or four) children one day cuddling on the couch just like this. Maybe it was the huge smile this gorgeous mama had on her face every time she looked at her babies. Maybe it was that this dad works with my husband, and they couldn't be more crazy alike. It could have quite possibly been that that bouncy messy bun is just pure happiness. Or I think maybe it was just them, being them. It all made my heart flutter. I felt like I photographed just what I hope my future to look like. What I dream of for our family one day. I believe that God always has a plan. He has a map of who I will meet along this photography journey, all with a story to share with me, to help me become me. He knew I needed this family. They are beautiful, and God is great. xo
