Apple Bread. My pregnancy staple food. And it's a Fall favorite so, I think it's just meant to be.
RECIPE
Ingredients:
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 beaten egg
3 tbsp milk
2 c. flour
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
3 c. peeled + diced apple
Directions:
For the topping, mix in a small bowl, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp chopped pieces of butter. In a separate bowl for the bread mixture, cream together sugar + shortening. Add egg + milk. Mix in flour, soda, vanilla + apple. Pour thick mix in a greased loaf pan. Sprinkle topping evenly over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
